For more information contact David Moser at ECONI. Experiencing a sense of forgiveness is core to the encounter with God’s grace, and the joy of new life in Christ. And yet forgiveness is often one of the greatest sources of pain and struggle in our lives when we endeavour to follow Christ’s example of offering forgiveness to others. How often do we take time to reflect on our understanding of forgiveness in our spiritual life and face into the challenge of living toward forgiveness in our daily life? This conference is an exciting opportunity to do more than just enjoy the blessing of being forgiven by God and feels torn by the pain of struggling to forgive others. It is an opportunity to reflect and grow in the journey toward Embodying Forgiveness in your spiritual life, relationships, church, and community. Key Note Speaker: L. Gregory Jones, author of the book Embodying Forgiveness, will be the keynote speaker at a one-day conference by the same title. Jones is Professor of Theology at Duke University in the States. He brings fresh insight and international experience to his thinking on Forgiveness. Gregory Jones will be giving two addresses on the theme of Embodying Forgiveness. The conference will also include interesting seminars on related topics such as: forgiveness and repentance, forgiveness and justice, forgiveness and child abuse, forgiveness and victims of political conflict, forgiveness and church life, and forgiveness in politics.
